Optimised to increase off road capability without sacrificing on road manners. The JRace Detour 70 Coil Conversion provides a significant upgrade from its first-stage variant.

Our Goal

While other kits on the market replicate OEM suspension geometry designs (some over 30 years old), we have started from scratch with modern components, with a goal to give you the best driving experience possible with today’s technologies. After years in the design stages, hundreds of hours in CAD, and ongoing revisions, we have achieved what others in the industry say is not possible or viable on the 70 series chassis. We can now happily say we produce the most technically advanced coil conversion on the Australian market and are confident you will never drive a more comfortable, better handling, on and off-road system than the one we have developed here. 

Expertly Designed & Engineered

Developed completely in house by our mechanical engineers and qualified suspension specialists including a range of purpose-built components to support increased articulation and suspension travel. Fully computer designed, analysed and tested well beyond the ADR strength recommendations without failure. Pre-engineered with NCOP VSB Design Approval, the Detour 70 Coil Conversion is available for installation and certification post-registration in selected states, please see below applicability table for availability.

Drive In, Drive Out

The JRace Detour 70 Coil Conversion includes comprehensive installation of all components incorporating extensive 2k epoxy chassis paint with cavity fill as well as all necessary adjustments, calibrations, tension checks and final wheel alignment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The Detour 70 Coil Conversion is inclusive of engineering, there are no hidden or additional costs for certification post registration. Available for installation only by authorised JRace Installation Facilities.

• Enhanced stopping power for safer, more controlled descents incorporating upgraded handbrake, brake booster and lines.
• Custom suited coil springs paired with optimised shock lengths and custom valving to ensure maximum on road comfort while maintaining articulation offroad.
• Designed with a triangulated system to aid in lateral stability and reduction in roll steer, exceeding all safety factors to result in an incredibly well handling vehicle under high load (cornering/towing/accelerating).
• Medium duty coil springs paired with Airbag assist system to allow for versatility of varying loads and towing.
• Certified to run up to a 315/70R17 (34.6″) Mud or All-Terrain tyres on a 17×9 -12 rim
