Our heavy duty diff upgrade that suits all 70 Series VDJ V8 Landcruisers with leaf rear suspension. The JMACX upgraded diff housing also has a engineered certified axle load rating of 2700kg with built in safety margin of 300kgs and this is the most important part don’t be fooled by huge tonne rating numbers on other diff housings if it doesn’t have a stated axle rating then don’t trust it. JMACX heavy duty housing is a fully fabricated 6mm thick housing with increased axle tube trusses and heavy duty brackets with chromoly spindles which are far stronger than the OE items.
Our heavy duty diffs correct the rear track to match front as factory units are 100mm narrower. Our diff is factory electric locker compatible.

Is the Diff available for my standard leaf spring v8 Landcruiser?
Yes JMACX manufactures a leaf diff and axle upgrade kit that addresses increased axle load rating, track correction and stronger axles.
Can I install it myself?
Yes and certification documents for this can be supplied by JMACX directly to your certifying engineer or department of transport.
What about Engineering?
All installations will require engineer inspection & certification for each vehicle. JMACX will supply LB2 documentation for the diff upgrade directly to your certifying engineering or department of transport.
How much will an Inspection and Mod Plate Cost?
Between $1300 and $1500 (roughly, depending on total certification requirments and other modifications to the vehicle like long range fuel tanks etc).
Does the kit contain parts that are custom and maybe difficult to find if I'm in the middle of nowhere?
No, our heavy duty diff housing maintains all factory brakes, seals hubs & factory Toyota diff centre.
What if I break an axle?
Our heavy duty diff housings are full fabricated units that exceed the strength of the factory original unit. JMACX axles are the strongest production manufactured axle for Toyota Landcruiser available
How long does it take to Install?
The leaf diff installation usually can be completed in 5-6hrs vehicle dependant
Can I have a custom colour?
Yes our diffs come powder-coated black standard but you can choose a different colour from the Dulux powder-coat colour chart .
Does the new wide track diff correct the rear axle track?
Yes, our diff is 100mm wider than the factory Toyota assembly.
Will it affect my insurance?
No, usually as long as it is engineered certified. but it is up to each individual to check with their insurer. (Generally insurers only require the vehicle to be legal.)
The Toyota 70 series Landcruiser is known for how bad the stopping power is from factory and this is due to the small single diaphragm booster.

The SS79HPD Toyota 70 Series Land Cruiser 4x4 Snorkel is designed to deliver up to 50% more air than the OE air intake for Toyota Land Cruiser engines.

If you drive a Toyota Landcruiser 70 series Landcruiser, our all-new LC70 switch fascia suits all models 76, 78, 79.
Our focus was absolute Original Equipment levels of fit and finish. Don't confuse our switch fascia with other 3D printed items on the market, our fascia are truly injection moulded with our own tooling and know-how to an very high specification & material composition.
The switch panel accepts our square Toyota switches in any combination of 8 switches in the lower panel section. The upper switches blank remain the Factory tall type Toyota switches so you can transfer the factory Toyota switches to the upper fascia section. Installation takes approximately 5 minutes (not including wiring) and creates spaces to hold enough switches for even the most complicated builds.
The lower panel section holds our square type switches, which are available in numerous configurations (with UHF, USB and voltmeter variants coming soon) and with blank panels available for purchase separately.

We are convinced our PDI Landcruiser VDJ79 Front mount intercooler is the best choice for those looking to make more power or want to help the engine maintain its power delivery when run under constant high load. Our Mk3 intercooler kit is fitted to a VDJ76 pumping out over 500rwhp.
Works with any bull-bar and winch installation no cutting like other models.
Has all of the core above the bumper and bull-bar for exposure to cool air.
Will not cause any overheating.
On standard injectors, a late model dual cab has made 220rwkw with the assistance of our PDI front mount. In a single quick run you can do that with other intercoolers but our kits have shown they can repeat this many times due to the superior heat dissipation.
If all you want is better towing performance or reduced EGT for highway driving we have a very satisfied customer reporting a drop from 330degC to 280degC when compared to the leading aftermarket top mounted intercooler. Your engine will be more spirited due to the cooler intake temperatures.
The PDI Landcruiser VDJ79 Front mount intercooler provides the best intercooling for both high load and low speed work. The core sits close to the condenser which results in air being pulled through by the engines main cooling fan while working hard but while
Tests we've done have shown the drop in post intercooler intake air temperature was 3x greater with the PDI intercooler than the best of the aftermarket top mount options currently available. The intake air temperatures were cooler at all speeds.
NOTE: Due to change in chassis on the latest revision of the single cab VDJ79 to get ANCAP rating we can only supply this kit in single entry design.
The single and dual entry kits use the same intercooler and same hot side piping to the turbo – only the cold side piping is different. The factory setup has two throttle bodies facing left and right which go into the factory top mounted intercooler.
The dual entry option connect into both of these, but splits the outlet from the intercooler. The single entry removes the butterflies and the section they bolt to, which also has the feed from the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation emissions system) so the EGR input becomes blocked off with a plate. For all 200 series and post 2013 VDJ79/76/78 the two throttle bodies must be plugged back in to prevent the engine throwing codes and de-rating the power.
For early 70 series they can be left off the engine with an ECU reflash to clear the fault from them not being connected. We supply a bracket to mount the throttle bodies and hang either side of the single entry intake adapter.
Reason to go with the single entry kit
Chasing max responsiveness and have high flow turbos. The factory throttles are only fully open when your foot is flat to the floor. The rest of the time they are moving to assist with EGR flow.
Looking to have the neatest intercooler piping, with less connections.
Reason to go dual entry:
Want to keep the EGR system connected to intake to meet emissions requirements.
Want to keep the butterflies (throttle valves) in the system to give smooth shut down, maintain factory setup and for those with auto transmission, maintain the ability to shut down the engine in case it ever starts to run on its own fumes (this is a low probability, but high risk outcome).
